General Questions
Q: What is Huckle Bee Farms?
A: Huckle Bee Farms is a family-run farm specializing in handcrafted honey, beeswax products, and natural skincare. We believe in sustainability, transparency, and the magic of bees.
Q: What is a bee farm (apiary)?
A: A bee farm, or apiary, is a place where beekeepers raise honeybee colonies. At Huckle Bee Farms, our apiaries are carefully managed to support healthy bees and produce high-quality raw honey.
Q: Why are bees so important?
A: Bees are essential pollinators, responsible for helping over 70% of crops grow, including fruits, vegetables, nuts, and flowers. Without bees, food systems — and ecosystems — would be in serious trouble.
Q: What’s the difference between raw honey and processed honey?
A: Raw honey is unheated and unfiltered, meaning it retains all of its natural enzymes, antioxidants, and nutrients. Processed honey is often pasteurized and filtered, which can remove many of its health benefits.
Q: Does honey expire?
A: Raw honey doesn’t spoil! If stored properly in a sealed container, it can last indefinitely. It may crystallize over time, but that’s a natural process and doesn’t mean it’s gone bad. You can gently warm it to return it to a liquid state.
Q: Is crystallized honey still safe to eat?
A: Yes! Crystallization is totally natural and doesn’t affect the quality or safety of the honey. Many people even prefer it that way for spreading on toast.
Q: Can I visit your bee farm?
A: While we don’t offer public tours at this time, we love sharing behind-the-scenes content on our blog and social media. Stay tuned for future events or seasonal pop-ups!
